MHI was founded in 2023, initially serving adults with disabilities through vocational rehabilitation and private one-on-one services. As we engaged with the communities of Middle Tennessee, we noticed there was a significant number of adults with disabilities who would benefit from a structured day program at an out-of-home location, designed to support their personal goals.

At Merging Happiness & Inclusion, our mission is to create space for adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities to make meaningful decisions in their lives, based on their aims and interests, so they can integrate into their community, employment, and everything in between.

Iris Jones

With a master’s degree in Educational Psychology, Iris draws from her background in behavioral therapy, management, and HR to lead our dedicated team.

Melanie Harvell

With a bachelor’s degree in Psychology, Melanie approaches every interaction with care and steers the team with expertise and experience in operations and management.
